The moody weatherman

Weather is a great metaphor for life – sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella. ~Terri Guillemets

“Moods, are the clutter-declutter pattern of us created by our harmones, experiences, anticipatory response and even the weather.

We tend to have feel energtic with the raising sun and our energy level goes down during the day, we collect and give out astral-emotional energies and even absorb some.

Think of the humidity, or hormones as fecilitators of a chemical energy that brings about a mood. And mood decides whether you smile or cry that particular moment and we decide our mood! Sounds great does it not?

Moods and mood swings can be controlled independent of the psychiatrist and his couch.

The hindu tradition insists on the daily sweeping of the front and back yard. Comming to think of it is like preparing for physical-mental- emotional new energy, by getting rid of the old.

It clears the clutter off and lets new energy to enter, create and let its residue. Forget about a vaccum cleaner a good broom is the best mood creator, it can create a great variety right from anger to frustration to sheer relaxation.

it is about cleansing astral residue and allowing you to experience the mood. Of course the choice as sylvia Plath mentions in her the unbridged journals of sylvia path is mine or yours—i have the choice of being constantly active and happy or introspectively passive and sad. Or can go mad by riocheting in between.

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces up, snow is exhilarating there is no thing such as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather ~John Ruskin.

Thank God its a friday

Robinson Crusoe was the only one to things done by Friday ~Author Unknown

Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday. Author Unknown

Yet there are somethings I look forward to on a Friday.

Its the day I have given myself to visit the Universal mother at the Ambalpady temple. The sense of being taken care off empowered and energized is one aspect of it. May be seeing the congregration their makes people feel grounded.

Like all religious centers the temple at Ambalpady is also a social center. Where human beings true to their nature gather. I do find it a bit of a paradox despite our herd mentality no matter how much we crave community, the rigors of real life does interfere with our efforts to come togather with like minded individuals.

This congress of likeminded people is essential for our well being. Friday evening are dedicated to that too. An evening with likeminded individuals, it helps us to empathize as a community with similar interests, ideals, or aspirations giving our experieces new dimensions.

Our Friday event is idea driven so the community compromises of women of different ethnic background. Unlike Toastmasters of which i am a part too where our diversity is our professional lineage.

I like this quote on Friday– Friday should be a day that means you are nearing the end of a satisfying week and look forward to the weekend as simply a time to enjoy other activities but not as a method of mental escape. Byron Pulsifer

That is another thing Friday heralds, on Sunday I have a different routine.

It was not long ago I protested the use of social networking sites, nose a little skyward, with quips like:

“You’ll never catch me on Twitter.”

“I dare you to Google me. You won’t find anything but job-related links.”

“I only wish my life was so dull that I could spend hours of it twiddling online.”

Well, I may not be twiddling, but I’m certainly twittering.

A map to success.

Success, to me is the way I define it and not the way someone else demands. The journey begins when I decide to start.

Yes, January was my planning time, though I did not really achieve. But then to quote Lao Tzu "What the caterpillar calls the end the rest of the world calls a butterfly."

My February is well in form, with information and Inspirations in place. Workshops to break my comfort zone so that I can attune myself to my inner compass so that I can follow a map, that only I can see, my own path.

Spiritual traditions talk of guiding us to that roadmap that individual journey of enlightment. These are made of moral codes, parables, and mythological clues and patterns sometimes mystic states. We tend to read masters or seek a Guru’s guidance to understand or seek inspiration for our paths. Just like we would for a vacation journey. These can only take us thus far and no further.

Some people follow the road map.

I am like that gypsy who looks for the less travelled or the unexplored path. My only reliable compass is within. Not that I do not respect the maps, travelogues, left behind by other others, but it cannot make my journey.

My journey has its own strange weather patterns, closed roads, traffic jams that erupt out of nowhere. The refuge motel may not be handy but a shepherd’s hut would welcome me. So despite previous inspiration and blessings the journey has to be mapped by me. Where I forge ahead and when I retreat are my decisions.

The present requires different codes from the past. Unfortunately most of us, live the present carrying the past with us. Going into roadblocks without recognizing them or imaging the whirlpool in the still water.

So burning the roadmaps, accepting the blessings, being inspired unlearning old codes and creating a clean canvas, has been quite effective.

but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
